I would like to thank everyone who was involved with Philanthropy Month this year. It is truly inspiring to see so many students, faculty, staff and alumni show their support through donations or volunteering. That is what this entire month is about. I'd like to share a few statistics throughout the month that I think you'll find interesting.
Donations to Spirit of Change - Random Acts of Kindness: 501 individual donations for a total of $722 dollars.
Donations of $5 or more were matched by University Advancement for an additional impact of $195 dollars.
The Philanthropy Fair had a great turnout!
Thank you to everyone who attended the Philanthropy Fair this year, especially to the organizations that worked so hard to raise funds, find volunteers or raise awareness for their organization.
We had 30 organizations registered for the Philanthropy Fair! Over 200 individual donations were made for approximately $350 raised.
Most importantly, we felt that the students that attended had fun. Many organizations were giving out free food, gifts, prizes and information to students willing to hear their message. We hope to continue this success into next year to ensure philanthropy remains an important part of our campus and community.
Please view our Facebook page for some photos throughout the month and like the page for updates on this year's activities and planning for next year.
Thank you, volunteers:
Lastly, I wanted to thank all of our volunteers for getting involved this month. Blue Key Honors Society, Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT), Miner Phonathon and our University Advancement staff were an incredible resource for Philanthropy Month. We would not be successful without your help and you should be proud of the work you did.
Thank you again for all of your support!
